Zebah and the Zalmunna-Nation

It has officially started (well actually it started two days ago, but I just finally got on the internet) : Bowman Park Youth Camp. And the week so far is pretty awesome! We have about 31 one students here this year from various local churches and they seem to be connecting really well. Being its only been 2 days of full camp, not a whole ton has happened yet, but some cool stuff is developing. On the first night we all named our rooms off of random bible verses that we found as a group. My room named ourselves: Zebah and the Zalmunna-Nation... after a verse (and two people) in Judges 8:6-7. (I think that it is by far the coolest name of the camp this year! We even have a flag with blue, yellow and pink colors).

Also, along with that we have been playing some awesome games, and have pulled off one full day of activities based off of our theme: Belief to Behavior. Yesterday, we broke the students up into teams and then gave them real life situations to talk about. They got together and discussed how they would respond to these different situations, based on the principles they believed in, and then at the end of the night they shared skits that acted out how they would respond. It was pretty awesome! And today we've just been hanging out a lot and have been going to a bunch of services (one of which I was asked to preach at last night ha...but it went well no worries). And right now I am planning out some stuff for our 'Amazing Race' night on Friday... you all should come out and see the skits and all that night at camp!

Anyway, I hope to be able to update this every day from here on out to tell you about the 10 or so Barn students who are here and all the others who have come to hang for the week! Peace out.
