The new year is upon us, and is kickin like crazy already. It is interesting to think back and remember that just 5 days ago it was an old year with new experiences and expectations. Now 2010 is upon us and we have so many mysteries before us. For me I think these mysteries are one of lifes deepest joys. To be able to sit here and think of all the possiblities that a day -month, year, decade - holds is just amazing to me.
If that were first on my list of life's deepest joys, second would have to be being able to look back on all that has taken place. This past month or so, so much has taken place, and I've failed to write in here about it. God has been moving, and it is such a joy to be able to look back and bask in the memory of it, while straining ahead in the joy of the mystery of what's to come.

The students at the Barn had a great chance last month, not only to learn about what it looks like to believe in Christ (which is something a few of them deeply struggle with), but also to learn what it means to be a teen and fellowship with other teens. December was full of life lessons and just plain fun. We had an awesome Christmas party, complete with White Elephant Gift Exchange and Movie, and the students really seems to enjoy just being with each other. Also we had a hang-out day full of board games, video games, and other exciting fellowship experiences - which 12 students were able to come out to as there was no school.
2009 was a great chance for connections to build at the Barn - between both leaders and students - and its been cool to see how God is using those connections for his kingdom. These connections are so amazing to see! Just two weeks of a blessed break was all it took to get to dive even deeper into the lives of students while they were off from school. Now 2010 is upon us and the students are back in school, but I'm all the more excited to see all the places the LORD will soon take us!
In Christ Jesus,
Jeremiah
