Faith Christian

This week I had the great chance of being able to go speak at 'Faith Christian School' for their chapel service. Originally I didn't think I would be able to get a chance to go in and speak, but before I knew it, it fell on my lap. Needless to say, I was stoked. I woke up bright and early, panicked because my alarm didn't go off when it should have, but I made it there on time. Before everything happened I peruse the school a bit. It was only my third time being there. I had seen a play there once before and filmed a promo video there last fall.

Anyway, our topic was burdens, and the message seemed to go really well. The whole night before I could just feel like the LORD was giving me a message that would really impact lives, and it seemed like the students really responded well to it. Many of them came up to talk to me afterwards, thanked me for coming, and even for not being old and boring (which I guess is a good thing ha). Plus, it was really fun to tell silly stories and confronting serious issues in front of so many people, I totally loved it. After chapel, I went out for coffee with the p-pal (as I call them) of the school. We talked about ways to connect the visions of the Barn and of Faith Christian (which seem to be very similar). Then, I got a chance to eat lunch with the students.

Thursday, overall was a very exciting, encouraging, and rewarding day. Building new connections and relationships is always a plus for me, and I was so stoked to see how the LORD continues to work. Hopefully in the future I will be able to serve more with Faith Christian, and maybe even go back to speak and connect with students. I'm hoping to go back a few more times this year to eat lunch with students, and I'm sure it will be really awesome!

  3. Karen, that's awesome! I know a lot of people who graduated from there.

Bekah, thanks for the encouragement. It really is neat to see the ways that God is able to use me to help establish his kingdom. What a great honor for such a prideful/sinful guy.... thanks for becoming a follower though, at least I have one now haha... though you have like a million.
